Detroit Public Schools Foundation Programs

Our students. Your future.

Through your support, the Detroit Public Schools Foundation encourages students to excel throughout the year with once-in-a-lifetime opportunities inside and outside of the classroom. Among them:

GROW UP GREAT

A collaborative program funded by the PNC Foundation that trains DPS pre-kindergarten teachers to use science and the arts as teaching tools, provides students with enhanced exposure to science and the arts and increases parent involvement in their children’s education.

STEM

Programs that enhance the STEM (Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics) curriculum by enabling DPS students to participate in extracurricular activities such as science fairs, robotics competitions, chess tournaments and the Engineering Society of Detroit’s “Future City/Future Detroit” competition.

FINE & PERFORMING ARTS

Support for the annual Evening of Fine Arts at the Fox Theatre, which showcases the many artistic talents of DPS students, and the revival, after more than a decade, of the All City High School Marching Band, a college Bowl Game hopeful.
